iBuzzpro could be your ticket to success

When I signed up with the iBuzzpro (voice messaging) team recently, I had no way of knowing that my recruiter would be such a marvelous teacher/mentor. Though her tenure with iBuzz is just slightly longer than my own, her life experience prepared her to be an exceptional  team leader in any business. Below is a message I received from Mary yesterday. I think her words can inspire anyone walking the pot-holed road toward success.
Mary said,

'BUZZ Words' are Important: IBUZZ Does The Heavy Lifting For You: IBUZZ Is A Game Changer; IBUZZ Puts You In The Driver's Seat; IBUZZ Handles The Small Things So You Can Take Care Of The More Important ... anything else?
Use your BUZZ Words and BUZZ Phrases. Let's Build This List Together!
CLOSES:

How Do We Close? I've been thinking this through. Here's a 'few':
"The best days to run IBUZZ are Tues., Wed., Thur. Let's get you signed up so I can concentrate on getting you up and running to do your first campaign on ...Thursday. I will give you 100% of my attention and we will get you going!"
(If you have someone 'really' interested.) Quite honestly, I do not believe Monday and Friday to be a good day (maybe I just do not know).
"I will give you my undivided attention. I am cleared out for a few hours tomorrow. Let's get this done so you can get going."

Any ideas ....... guys and gals? We need to be able to 'close'. We cannot leave it just open ended.
Let's work together and make this work! I 'KNOW' beyond a shadow of a doubt we can do this. It is not difficult. It is a matter of consistency. I ran $8.35 today. There are 'two' really strong leads. I want to be able to say and prove: I ran $8.35 and made two sales! With that $8.35 I made $1,000.00!
All ideas greatly appreciated!

13 Ways Internet Marketers Lose My Trust

Chicanery: deception by artful subterfuge or sophistry : trickery.

First, I need to say that most Internet marketers (those that sell information products and software) are good guys and gals. Most act like mature, honest business people.

Some, though, practice chicanery when they offer their products. Here are a few ways they lose my trust.

1. Show a video where you can't pause it or do anything else with it except exit. You must wait for an interminable time to find out what it costs. (I've asked some marketers why they do this. It's the rage right now. The answer is always "It works!"

2. Do anoying things "that work" even though they make you look like an unadulturated jerk. Here is an article headline I pulled from Google: Pop-Ups — Sure You Hate Em… But They WORK

3. Make me wade through 3 or 4 extra sales pages to get a free product. Seems to me that there is a direct relationship with a free product and the weight of its suckiness.

4. When I try to leave, you put up a pop up that says, "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?" Then offer ambiguous buttons to click.

5. Make your video really long. Chit chat your way to getting to the point. Whatever you do, save the cost of your product for the last three minutes of your boring video.

6. Put a roll of cash, a luxury home and car in your banner.

 7.  Try to get me to call you. When I do, treat me like a 3rd grader. Does that work too?

8. When you do a launch that tells us the "secrets" and shows us how much money you made, pretend that you don't know the product didn't work for you or just ran out of steam (dead).

9. Be sure to put in your headline that you made $38,573 in 12 days!

10. Don't offer payment for your product via Pay Pal. (You know darn well I can easily cancel the payment using Pay Pal)

11. Offer a product for $1 for 30 days and then charge me $97 per month after that. You know darn well I will likely forget to cancel the transaction and then I'll be too ashamed to ask you for a refund.

12. When I do ask for a refund, make me submit a reason.

13. Tell me there is a limited number of products to sell so I better hurry.

iBuzzPro

Just a few questions about lead generation....

Did you ever buy leads to promote your business? What is your experience?

Did you ever get a call from an auto mated phone dialer? What did you think of that?

Online Lead Generation is this more effective than telemarketing?

How do telemarketers know who is on the do-not-call list and who isn't?
Answer: You need to sign up for the national do-not-call list listings. It's free for up to 5 area codes and $62 for each additional area code so if your business is local, it's not a big expense. (Yahoo answers)

Can companies still call if your number is on the do not call list?
Answer: If you requested information from a company, a rep can call you.

Can our business be put on the Do Not Call list?
Answer: It is for home and mobile numbers only

What is the number for the cell phone do not call list to stop advertisements?
  Answer: 1-888-382-1222

When can a company legally solicit your business on your home phone?
Answer: Have you done any business with them in the last 18 months or requested any information from them in the last 3 months? If so, they are allowed to call you.

Facebook Tips

Facebook can be confusing.

1. I went to my wife's page and saw she had none of my posts on it. Until then I thought everyone would see all the posts made by friends of my wife, including myself. Not so.

You will see the posts made by my wife and by people who posted on her wall (which usually is none or not many). So usually, you will see only the posts made by the person whose page you are visiting.

Always check the News Feed or you might miss posts. Look at the profiles of your VIP friends. The TOP News Feed can help you with this. If you are working Facebook for business, take time daily to view the posts that others commented on in the Top News Feed.

2. There is a difference between "personal" and "private". Do not post anything you would not want the whole world to know. If it is truly private, then don't post it anywhere on the Internet.

PERSONAL information can help you create better business relationships. People need to know we are real and want to help before they will do business with us online. After all, they can't shake your hand unless they meet your in person.

3. Be careful about what you post on someone else's wall. There is etiquette involved even thought there is no book written yet about its use on social networking. For example, I think it's ok to say "Happy Birthday" but don't throw in a plug for your product "20% off" and such. If you want to offer a discount or a special, send the person a direct message.

4. Be careful on "tagging". Your friends may not know what happens when you "tag" someone. It goes on their Wall.
The person you tag in a photo will see that photo on their feed, if the setting for the photo album is to friends of friends, your and the tagged person's friends will see the tag as an activity in the tagger's/taggees feed.

If something shows up on your page that one of your friends has been tagged in, but the sender is not one of your friends, you can not comment on it you can only view it.

5. Look over your Profile Page once in a while. Make sure that nothing is on it that you do not approve.

6. Your page can fill up very fast so you may miss what people are posting.  Visit your friend's profile page to be most current. If you want to get a message to someone post directly on their wall or write a personal message that you will find under their profile picture. (added - thank you Nuola Christ, Facebook Veteran!)

Interesting Spam email

Bubble girl reunning from the dentist kid

I received this SPAM email today. I've never seen anything quite like it. I would like to get your opinion. What do you think? Is it creative enough to read? What else?
*******

Sorry I’m late in writing, but I’ve been in hospitalSunday, September 12, 2010 1:11 PMFrom: "Ed" Add sender to ContactsTo: INFO@WORKATHOMEPROFILES.COM

I’ve been meaning to get in touch for a while, but I had to go into hospital for what’s called a TURP: Trans Urinary Resection of the Prostrate. I know it sounds like the main line from Prague to Vladivostock, but actually it’s an operation on a chap's prostrate and an extremely painful one at that. Before the operation I had trouble trying to pass water and I was in agony and misery. However, now I pee like a racehorse, regular as clockwork every morning at 06:30 on the dot, but I’m still in despair. And the reason for that is, well I don’t wake up ‘till 07:00. Still, that’s my problem no; actually it’s my wife’s. You’ve never seen a woman leap so quick out of bed.

The reason I’ve told you where I’ve been for the past couple of months in as humorous a way as I could muster is by way of an apology for causing you to lose so much money and I can’t say sorry enough and I hope you’ll forgive me. Still I’m here now and about to make it up to you in spades. However, before I go into that you need to know that you’re receiving this message after I visited www.workathomeprofiles.com and had a good rummage around and I feel that you are in a position to help me, but in return you’ll get £75 each time you help me and you won’t even need to lift a finger.

So when I said I have cost you a great deal of money by not contacting you sooner, I’m thinking of all of those £75 amounts that you should have been receiving over the past few months; still let’s remedy that right now: Partner with us, see our affiliate program at www.forex4uk.com and, then by simply sending out an email to your ezine list or/and include a promotional piece in your newsletter or/and add a graphic to your website; you’ll get you a commission of £75 for every sale, payable each month on the dot, by any method you chose.

You don’t even need to write the email, newsletter or ezine as the wording, banners and graphics are provided; in fact everything you want is on www.forex4uk.com for you to copy and paste. All you need do is spend about an hour or two setting it up your end, then sit back and watch as each one of your sign-ups causes another £75 to drop into your new boat fund or your Caribbean holiday home account or whatever it is you’ve set your heart on having; I’ve always fancied a 1968 E’ Type Jaguar, Drop head CoupĂ©, in red, myself, but they’re about as rare as hen's teeth. The bottom line is: your clients keep coming; you keep collecting £75.

Now you might be thinking that the Forex market has no relevance to you, but believe me you would be very wrong and turning your back on this opportunity will cost you dearly, trust me on that. I can guarantee your customers will be very interested indeed in what you’re offering them. In fact interest in the Forex market has never been so popular and has cut across all boundaries - and people from all walks of live are making a fabulous living from the currency markets. In this event our affiliate program is just about up every webmaster’s street and at home on virtually any website and complementing it, including yours. As a matter of interest, after setting everything up, join us on the course yourself. I'm not trying to sell it to you, just do you a favour.

Right, I’ve brought the good news to you and now you'll agree that taking fifteen minutes out of your life to sign-up and a further hour or so to set up your promotional materials in return for potentially hundreds of thousands of pounds, ongoing, has got to be a pretty good deal. And remember you only do it once. Once you've done your bit, sit back and let our proven, high converting website do the rest of the work for you. Oh, yes and, while we talk in pounds because we're in the UK, this is obviously just as relevant and workable in any currency in the world.

As mentioned earlier I visited www.workathomeprofiles.com before contacting you, I emphasise this because you need to know that this message is not the product of some 'shotgun mailer'. After checking out most of the links I recognised that you and those linking to you are involved in entrepreneurial/self improvement/work-at-home type themes. Therefore, as this has got to be about the best entrepreneurial work-at-home venture in a long time; I personally targeted you as I feel your website is a good fit with us and as such, you will make a lot of money as you take the message to people who don’t know about Forex. And they will be forever grateful to you that they were able to discover and learn about it through your website.

In closing this message of opportunity I just want to say sorry for the stratagem at the beginning, but I needed to hold your attention and prevent you dumping this fabulous opportunity in the bin. Even so, what I said was true. I have recently been discharged from hospital after undergoing a TURP and it's no fun, as any bloke who’s had the operation will agree and one is just unable to sit at a computer sending out emails. Therefore, as previously mentioned that is why you are receiving this communication later than I had intended. So you see, everything I’ve said in this message is true and that extends to the affiliate program.

Forum Marketing - try city-data

My experience with forum marketing is like so many other online marketing techniques I've tried.

I like to talk about stuff in forums, but I guess I'm not that interested because it's always hot and cold to me.

I might post in a lot of forums or blogs one day and then none for the next 30 days.

Generally, I've found that posting in lots of good forums can be worthwhile, at least for getting people to visit your website or blog. Whether they take action when they get to your site, well, that's another story.

Here is an interesting forum possibility for you to check out. I bumped into it accidentally today. Be aware that I am still not sold on social networking for wahms but forum marketing is a bit different than Facebook, Twitter and such. It's still social but not in-your-face.

Here is the link: http://www.city-data.com/forum/

The idea here is to chat about where you live, your state, your city and such. I like it because you can also "friend" people and they probably will live in your state.

I think that could be a good thing to have a lot of interesting online friends in your STATE.

What do you think? Do you see the potential?

Submit your new website to Google? Not necessarily.

The question came up on @chrisbrogan's popular blog....

Do we need to submit our new websites and blogs to Google? I've made a lot of sites and I never submit them to Google for inclusion in their directory. But any person's experience does not make a "should" or a "fact", right?

So, I sent this message to a few very highly respected SEO people on Twitter:
"Is it necessary to submit your website to Google for inclusion in the index?"

Here are the answers:

1. @MattCutts (Google rep) - usually not. We primarily discover websites via inbound links though, so if your site has none, then consider http://goo.gl/mndG

2.  @jillwhalen: not for the past 10 yrs or so

3. @Mitch_M: Nope; that's always been there. You can do it if you want, I'm just saying that if you don't they'll find it.

4. @dannysullivan: greg you prob don't need to submit to google. but submitting your home page won't hurt!

5. @seoidiot:  wtf - erm, no that would be a silly thing to do
