Forum Marketing - try city-data

My experience with forum marketing is like so many other online marketing techniques I've tried.

I like to talk about stuff in forums, but I guess I'm not that interested because it's always hot and cold to me.

I might post in a lot of forums or blogs one day and then none for the next 30 days.

Generally, I've found that posting in lots of good forums can be worthwhile, at least for getting people to visit your website or blog. Whether they take action when they get to your site, well, that's another story.

Here is an interesting forum possibility for you to check out. I bumped into it accidentally today. Be aware that I am still not sold on social networking for wahms but forum marketing is a bit different than Facebook, Twitter and such. It's still social but not in-your-face.

Here is the link: http://www.city-data.com/forum/

The idea here is to chat about where you live, your state, your city and such. I like it because you can also "friend" people and they probably will live in your state.

I think that could be a good thing to have a lot of interesting online friends in your STATE.

What do you think? Do you see the potential?

  1. I had the same feeling like you before when I jobless. I'd read posts and comment on it for quite a while then after some weeks or days it gets really boring. Thanks for posting an incredible link by the way. Bye.

  3. Complaints are the greatest offerings that God obtains from human beings, as well as the most faithful prayers human beings might utter to God.

  4. Apart from tears, only time could wear everything away. While feeling is being processed by time, conflicts would be reconciled as time goes by, just like a cup of tea that is being continuously diluted.
